Look at it this way...
Search for "hotel Madrid" and your search engine might return millions of web pages.
You could say that that page on Number 1... is "more SEO" than the page on Number 2.
Which is "more SEO" than the number 3, and so on.
Every web page, no matter how bad, includes at least a few elements that are seen as positive in the eyes of the search engines.
"SEO Included"
So what does this mean, "SEO included"?
That is even a tad absurd.
The unspoken convention is that it refers to the technique of applying Meta-Tags.
However, that is only one technique. Of the very many.
Plus that in each technique itself, there are dozens of degrees. How well researched are the key words used? For how many key words have the tags been optimized?
And so on.
"SEO included" doesn't mean anything. The question is about its level, quality and relevance.

In OFF-SITE SEO
So you start with social networking and linking...
You decide to spend 3 hours per week.
Now your competitor was already doing that, and dedicating 10 hours per week to just that.
So you jump to 15 hours. And other competitors to 20 hours, and...
Again, this is one of these phenomena where 'SEO' is making people crazy.
An other year like the last one, and we'll all be spending our days full time in Social Networks.
Also here it is not about the amount of time... but about the QUALITY and RELEVANCY.
In ON-SITE SEO
Some go for Meta-tags only, others add a good site structure, or good page structures, or good internal links... or verify page-weight, or spend a whole week researching the most profitable key words, while others not even 5 minutes...
Even those that take On-Site SEO very seriously and try to get it up to the highest possible level, can be mistaken again by using old or outdated techniques, or loose sight of the branding and target market, thus creating pages that rank very high but do not result in more customers. |
